Our means of diagnosis



Technique A.C.F.M is in the beginning intended for the detection of fatigue cracks in the structures offshore oil rig like alternative to magnetic particle testing, which had the advantage of not needing to eliminate the sediments as a preliminary.
The ACFM probe induces a uniform alternating current in the area under test and detects the resulting current flow near to the surface.

This current is undisturbed if the area is defect free. A crack redirects the current around the ends and faces of the crack. The ACFM instrument measures these disturbances in the field and uses mathematical modeling to estimate crack size.

This technique of control is usable without removing painting, the coating, the sediments or with a reduced cleaning. Moreover, the speed of control is important and it can be carried out on structures with difficult accessibility by means of cordists.
We use this process for the diagnosis of all the elevating lifting devices for which we needed to check the state of conservation following a special evaluation and to follow the evolution of crack.


Ultrasonics inspection for measurement thickness and defect of compactness




We use this process to measure the thicknesses of the structure of the lifting devices in order to determine a possible corrosion or to confirm dimensions which will be used for future modelings.
We also use this testing to detect default of compactness in the material, for example a crack in the shaft of pulleys.




Video-endoscopy and televisual inspection

The endoscopy is the suitable method to study the interior of boxes or mechanics  which are inaccessible to the human eye. camera

We use flexible or rigid optical systems. The image is examined either directly through an objective, or on a video screen, with numerical recording.
This process is particularly interesting to inspect the boxes of equipment in order to determine their design and to note their conservation state (corrosion, degradation etc.) It can be also used to visualize the mechanisms reducer in complementary of the oil analyzes.


Infra-red thermography

Thermography makes it possible to highlight abnormal heating on materials or installations under operation.
It provides invaluable information allowing a predictive maintenance targeted on the identified weak points. We use this method mainly to control electrical installations and the kinematic chains.
